Finally, if all else fails, consider the classic bury. Stowing things under a nice pile of dirt is an excellent safe keeping tactic. Bonus points if there’s fresh soil that’s been handily placed into on of your favorite hidey holes in the yard.  I’m sure no one will mind if you dip your paws in just a little bit.
